THE ORIGIN

Eight years ago I wasn't trying to become a marketer. I was trying to start a software company.

I finished that company's website — the one that was supposed to bring me clients — and it didn't show up on Google. Not even searching its exact name.

That is the question that started everything:

How is a client ever going to find me?

Looking for the answer, I found SEO — and I found my craft. That's what I am: a marketer, obsessed with making sure people get found.

Code isn't my job — it's my edge. When SEO needs a tool that doesn't exist yet, I don't wait for it: I build it. That software company became tamer.
